ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN (TUBES DIVISION)
Reporting to:
Clean Room Manager (Tubes Division)
Main Duties:
- Assembly and manufacture of high precision small tubes.
- Fine mechanical assembly specialist parts using braze alloys.
- Perform in line precision machining (lathe, mill etc), Recognising specialised constraints associated with vacuum tubes.
- Welding using spot, TIG and laser.
- Eddy Current Heater, Furnace braze.
- Leak checking and other ancillary tasks.
- Understanding of mechanical measurements, able to use measuring equipment.
- Required to record operations and carry out measurement tasks as part of assembly methods and procedures.
- Receptive to company training.
- Undertaking of any other related tasks that may be reasonably requested.
- To perform his/her duties with respect to all Company Procedures.
- To comply with the Company Policy on Health and safety.
Qualifications & Experience:
Craft Apprenticeship - City & Guilds etc
Fine Assembly work
Tool Making
Experience in producing high precision components
Ability to work to high quality standards and in conformance with clan room practice
Ability to read technical drawings, appreciating tolerances and measurement methods.
Desirable & Other Qualities
Must have good eyesight and be used to carrying out fine detailed assembly work.
Should be used to carrying out assembly work under a microscope.
