PROGRAMME MANAGER (TUBES)
Reporting To:
Divisional Manager (Tubes Division)
Main Duties:
- To be responsible for the total management of specific programmes and projects.
- To have total and complete understanding of each contract under the programme managers control.
- Develop WCE for new and existing products as part of TMD Tube division team.
- To work as part of the programme management team planning, organising and directing divisional and company resources, in line with TMD’s overall business plan and priorities.
- Communicate at all levels of the company.
- Communication with customer, contract review, programme progress, technical issues etc.
- Generation of and monitoring of plans and schedules and priorities specific to individual contracts and programmes, in line with agreed contractual requirements, with appropriate work packages, key milestones and budgets for each stage of package.
- Management of fiscal activities within each project. Preparation of C to C.
- Detailing and reporting contract issues, priority risks, informally and formally at contract reviews, production meetings and customer reviews.
- Monitoring and reporting progress.
- Where appropriate, development and training of own staff, recruitment and appraisal.
- To undertake any other task, which may reasonably requested.
- To comply with the Company Policy on Health and Safety.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
1. Knowledge of Manufacturing Programme Management
2. Programme Management of Tube Related products
3. The ability to demonstrate effective communication skills to all business areas
4. Ability to work with teams at all levels of the business
5. Strong financial awareness
Other Requirements:
1. A Tube manufacturing background would be advantageous
2. Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Degree level educated or equivalent.
2. Engineering to HNC level
3. PRINCE, or Association for Project Management, Foundation Practitioner, or Information Systems Examination Board qualified, with relevant experience of working with Managing Successful Project or Programmes methodologies would be desirable.
